As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC/LPCC) and a Telementalhealth Provider (BC-TMH), Matthew is proficient in the use of technology to provide professional distance counseling services to his clients.  Matthew's experience and education has included extensive use of structured/directive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, motivational interviewing, and (less structured) client centered approaches. Each of these treatment methods has their own strengths/weaknesses, and may even be used at various times with the same client.

Matthew specializes in adjustment issues, anxiety, phobias, depression, trauma,  family functioning, addiction and substance abuse.

Matthew has worked with clients from all backgrounds, across a broad spectrum of humanity.  He believes technology is essential to reach people who don't want to participate in office sessions, or for those who cannot.  Technology has various positives and negatives, just like anything else, but it clearly shortens distances that were previously hard to conquer.

Matthew provides audio/video counseling sessions through American Well (AMWell) because the platform is HIPAA compliant, secure and versatile for client needs.

Pandora specializes in trauma, adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, female infertility, and parental struggles.  Pandora has worked with a variety of clients from many different backgrounds.  She believes telehealth services can be effective in helping clients who may be unable to participate in traditional in-person sessions and finds it helpful in reaching those in rural communities who may not otherwise have services readily available to them.
